Library Computers

Any student who is currently registered in a course at Douglas College can use the library computers, you'll just need your Campus Network Access (CNA) credentials to login. There are 76 desktop computers at the Coquitlam Campus library and 82 at the New Westminster Campus. See the list of installed software and do take note that you can't save to a College computer or laptop!

If you're accessing WIFI from one of our many laptop computers available for loan, your personal mobile device, or via Eduroam, the College has created an information page for you on which network to access and how to configure your device to do so.

And if you need IT help contact their Service Desk or use the Students Helping Students service for early morning and late night troubleshooting.

Printing

The College is dealing with a Microsoft cybersecurity issue that affects printing, so there is no network printing from student computers at the moment. You can, however, print from five dedicated computer print stations at the New Westminster Campus and three at the Coquitlam Campus library. Just make sure you have your document ready to print when you logon.

Douglas College’s printing management system is called Papercut and you can manage your personal printing through their website. Each double-sided black and white printout costs 10 cents per sheet, whereas colour printing is 50 cents per sheet. Printing pages can be purchased at the front counter of both campus libraries. Currently the Douglas College Student's Union is offering 100 more free pages if you bring your document to them on a USB drive, but do make note that their hours are limited to the day time.

Scanning and Copying

There are several card-operated photocopiers at both campus libraries which also act as scanners. Scanning to USB is free - come to the front counter first to retrieve a card to unlock the machine - but photocopying is ten cents per page. You can purchase photocopy cards at the front counter in one, three, and five dollar denominations. If you forgot your USB drive, we'd be happy to lend you one.

Alternatively, scanning via your mobile device could be an option as well. As always, do be mindful of the copyright laws when scanning books or journals.
