The Library is marking Earth Day 2024 with a Book Talk on Tuesday, April 23 and you’re invited to join us!
Listen in as our Book Talkers share what they’re reading, join the discussion, and learn a little about resources available in the Library that can help support you in addressing and taking action on climate change, sustainability, and the environment. Some of the titles we’ve got folks signed up to share about include The Overstory, The Nutmeg’s Curse: Parables for a Planet in Crisis, and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
We're also excited to be joined by John Doherty from Facilities who will be sharing information around Douglas' sustainability efforts, projects, and challenges!
This event is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Please register to attend. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be a draw to win a plant growing kit.
If you’re interested in further reading, we've put together a list of books available in the Douglas College Library on a wide variety of topics that might be of interest to an Earth Day book talker!
